Special permission was granted to remove all Obama stickers at the Port of Entry. Remarkably, the Prius did not fall apart!. BTW, water pump, idler pulley, accessory belt replaced on CR-V, 97k.

We had a very heavy rain and my Chevy trailblazer is making this noise now. Could the rain have caused it?

Ha! Same noise on wife's 2003 CR-V... taking it in Monday.
Our 2010 Prius ain't got no pulleys... no belts... no tensioners... no nuthin... just MPG :-)

Mostly everyone on here was wrong. You have to bleed the system with a vacuum pump

@tjholt321 jeeps are different. i had a 94 mustang and it had the same set up as your svt. jeeps dont have the spring in the pulley. the pulley is fixed and theres a tensioner screw behind it that you adjust to pull the pulley forward and back to loosen the tension

@blunt5261 same shit happened to me. pulley literally ripped itself off the pump. i have a 98 grand cherokee which i can see you have a 96-98 as well. was drivin down the road, steering locked up, looked under the hood, pulley was pulled out of the pump like 3 inches and on an angle still attached to the belt. pain in the ass
like i said...it was the power steering pump. the power steering pulley came out when i was driving down the road.
re-man pump, no more noise.
