yvr604 - I think that was probably taken from a Jazz DHC-300 coming from Nanaimo or Victoria - they often use the other runways

i guess it was too fast and they could have run out of runway if landed
soo i guess the pilot just aborted and went for a second landing try after circling around

Yeah that's a Lufthansa 340-600 aborting. I was on a Lufthansa 340-600 from YVR to FRA a few years ago and it also aborted the first landing in FRA.

I saw a West Jet plane abort a landing at YVR, because it seemed to be too close behind a Cathay Pacific plane that had also just landed on the same runway the West Jet one was approaching.
