The state of Florida's largest (and newest) music festival, Orlando Calling, will be presented for the first time ever November 11-13, 2011 at the Florida Citrus Bowl. Its expected to draw over 100,000 fans in 2011 and is the first American event Festival Republic has put on in ten years. Event promoter Festival Republic is bringing it to Orlando. Veteran Event Promoter and Festival Republic Managing Director Melvin Benn spoke at a press conference held at the Amway Center January 4, 2010, introduced by Orlando Venues Executive Director Alan Johnson.

hope i get the privilege of going to another one, though this guy must realize our music market is not the same as england's. A mostly rock concert, excluding pop rock (minus the killers of course) will yield purchases from upper class caucasians and exclude the lower class as well as most minorities (i mean what black people listen to the raconteurs and the pixies, those being two of the biggest names). Also the killers and the pixies are huge in england, but much less so here (slots 1-3)
