Based on Aleksandr Pushkin's verse novel.

In the opulent St. Petersburg of the Empire period, Eugene Onegin is a jaded but dashing aristocrat - a man often lacking in empathy, who suffers from restlessness, melancholy and, finally, regret. Through his best friend Lensky, Onegin is introduced to the young Tatiana. A passionate and virtuous girl, she soon falls hopelessly under the spell of the aloof newcomer and professes her love for him...

  • It's only the beginning and already you have a feeling that this is a story in which there is no happy ending- this story will not end well...

  • I really, really wish that Hollywood would stop making aristocrats out to be anti-intellectuals. According to a review and the book, Tatijana's family wasn't against reading books, they were supportive of it. Cripes, does Hollywood ever try anything new?

  • @ggrtr it's called "I'm Gonna Wash That Man Right Outta My Hair" and sorta sums up the whole movie.

  • PLEASE HELP! what is the name of that song in the beginning? @ 1:45

  • Beautiful!

  • never seen this! think i may have to watch it! :)

  • God! Did you guys ever read the original in Russian? The first words were like this "He tries to be fast in life and in love". But he is always, always late. Pushkin is so right. I cried with my tears all the movie (I watched the Russian Translated version), I just couldn't stop when he finished Lensky, because of his stupidity. Stupidity kills, ladies and gentlemen. Don't ever be stupid. Open your eyes and see everything without pride and prejudice. Russian man talking here!

  • @Mabledable vote against because you don't see the movie. Talk about the movie, who plays does not care.
