Mastering music and why it is important:
A short compilation of song samples from the just mastered full length "Going Somewhere". This footage is from the January 6th session with Ed Brooks of RFI/CD in Seattle, WA.
Ed Brooks is an amazing talent in the world of mastering for CD, vinyl, and digital release. He has done work for almost all the major labels as well as Sub Pop, Barsuk, Burning Building Recordings and others. He is also the go to Mastering Engineer for the Pearl Jam machine.
This 9 song effort will include an official version of the song "Angel Eyes" from the Jeff Healey Band. It is an effort to honor the passing of Jeff Healey and preserve his memory, his inspiration, and his gift. He was a major influence on me with how he took on his disabilities head on, prooving there is no excuse to not try.
Look for a late summer 2010 release of this 2-1/2 years in the works project. You will be able to find either individual songs or the project in its entirety depending on what happens in the following months.
Thank you for watching...and be sure to subscribe for updates. They will be coming.
