I am surprised to find that very few people I have talked to realize the wholly remarkable job Churchill did in his speeches to the people of the Empire in that he very rarely resorted to pure hatred towards the enemy, or even riled up the people into an angry, nationalistic mob bent on the pure destruction of Germany, and the level of honesty he was giving the people. Indeed, his methods were the exact opposite of Hitler's and Mussolini's. I do not doubt that this saved countless lives.
