@d3sired not all though. Spain was still a monarchy back then and most of the colonies revolted because their oaths of fealty was to our king not fucking napoleon or his brother. The idea of nationalism was just born (hence causing french rev) so it didn't come to spain yet. So a part of americas are innocent imo. But then again, not all.

@vwlover94 We didn't let them win, they won because of Napoleon already at war with Spain, thus weakening our forces so the whole continent of America took advantage of that, including Spaniards since Napoleon's brother was ruling and would have more lands if Spain still possessed the continent of America.

@vwlover94 Yeah man the fact still pissing me off. We had it from california to tierra del fuego and now almost nothing. But yea my point was, it is even more annoying that half of the people that know a part of spanish culture thinks its "mexican" instead for some reason.

@Reatbuster ahahaha, it could be BUT!!! HOWEVER Newspain (mexico today) had this exact music until the independence kick in, then it was shit afterwards, stupid mexico, i cant believe spaniards let them win, it was the indigenoues population that overcame the spanish in the end, :( how sad right? but 36% of mexicans are full blooded european, and the rest is mix, and then indigenous ;)
