@hmasurg It's digital zoom, not optical :) . Also, if you install chdk (chdk.wikia.com) on tne camera, you could enable optical zooming while recording video, but this would make noise while the zoom motor is working.

Is there a time limit on how long you can record video in one go with this camera?

Mine can zoom for 48x but very shaggy
Normally it can zoom for 4x, its true cause i always zooming when take videos
Most said the tZ7 video is betther than sx200is, but anyone can tell me about still picture quality about TZ7 vs SX200is please?

Can the Sx200 zom during video recrding? not according to my test at the shop.. how did you get it to zoom? thanx

SX20 is far superior..
SX200 is great but video zoom nothing like the SX20.

Yes it zooms if u start recording 1st with out zooming in. I did try with zooming in 1st and then record in that case u have no control with the zoom in or out. So u start recording 1st then u can zoom 2 the subject.
