How is that an escape artist? the handle is supposed to be inside and through the other wire, if it was closed properly he wouldn't get out

i wish i had a camera... my rat pulls the door thing down and in, then pushes it out. she can escape when its fully locked, so now we have to tie the door shut xD

one of my rats got out one night but the other one was smart enough not to leave the cage even with the door wide open. I walked out into the living room that morning and miss Kiera just looked at me through the open door and the race was on to find Avery, who i had only for 3 weeks at that point
