Finally got Star Wars running again after it being sidelined for about 3 months. Rebuilt the HV board and new flybacjk etc seems to have cured it. Just need to install some fans to keep it all cool!

The arcade at Daytona Mall across from the Daytona Six Theaters in 1982 had this game installed in a really cool walk in and "sit down" enclosure. You sat down as if inside the ship on a small bench which gave you the feeling of actually flying the ship while playing the game. They charged 50 cents instead of a quarter which made it a treat to play because most people wouldn't spend more than a quarter for a video game. I spent almost every penny I made at the arcade back then!

where did you learn how to drive ? the taco bell drive through ? You do not deserve the controls. Let a white man take the helm in fact let a German show you how to pilot such a perfect game.

So this is I remember the arcade Star Wars in Atari video game, when I was playing it at Chuck E. Cheese. As a kid, I was searing the two pair wheel... In a battle at the game. Then I seen it in the VHS of Gremlin in age 18.

I probably pumped enough quarters into this game to buy George Lucas a beach house and a Porsche.

This thing devoured many of my quarters when I was in University... but eventually I became quite good at it... when you're blowing up gun towers on the surface of the Death Star, go left all the time, don't just fly straight... if you blow up all of the gun towers you get a big bonus. And, when Obi Wan says to 'Use the Force, Luke' when you're in the tunnel, that means, don't use your guns at all until you get to the very end... if you don't use your guns, you get a huge bonus.
