  • I went to the local muffler shop also. A 2 1/2" axle back to 12" generic glass pack into a J.C. Witney chrome tip. It was dirt cheap, sounds good and improved the mid range power. I don't know why people think that they need to spend $400 for a catback.

  • very true...

  • ricer status. i wouldnt waste my money on that just to make it sound that way with little or no performance. but people have different taste i guess.

  • ricer status would be claiming my car to be fast just because i put an exhaust on it.... not because i happen to enjoy scaring old ladies in the parking lot of walmart with my loud ass exhaust... lmao....

  • nicee!!

  • appreciate the feedback man...

  • Don't "add" power, they "free up" power.

  • if you want to gain power with out wasting money cut the pipe all the way to the headers!!! lol

  • @toyoracing89 So true, lol. Guy in my local area drives around in a riced out Sunfire with 3" exhaust, haha.

  • @Viatox Lol, you're possibly right. I was just stating what I know. Camaro's in the 80's and early 90's had 305 TBI's and an optional 350. Dodge has always made 318's and 360CI smallblocks and maybe I believe the occasional bigblock for heavy duty applications in older gas powered pick ups. But still, kids in rice boxes confuse me a lot. Giant exhaust piping for engines with less substance than a 2L Coke bottle.

  • @toyoracing89 Pretty sure 5.7 is 350.

  • @toyoracing89 I'm pretty sure the 5.7L in my 93 is 350 TBI. not 5.3. Maybe they're 360s in the newer models.

  • @Viatox 5.7L is a 360 V8, a 350 is a Chevrolet 5.3L. But my Ranger with a 3.8 Ford Supercoup swap has dual 2.5IN pipes. But when you're running forced induction it's kind of necessary to run that much piping diameter. Heck even my old Chevrolet S10 had dual 3IN pipes and 4 inch cannons...lost all the backpressure and sure it sounded nice but it lost a lot of power.

  • @toyoracing89 My 5.7L (350) has 2.5inch, lol.

  • I don't really understand why people with their 4-bangers insist on putting giant exhaust piping on such small engines. Almost every car I see has a giant 3'' muffler on it...most big liter V8's don't even have exhausts that big. It's crazy...you'd think they'd be losing power since there's next to no backpressure to keep things in order.

  • nice shocks.

  • Dude one word for you V6.....get one...
