  • LOL seems like you're the one not old enough to know the glitch sound didn't occur when stopping/playing a tape. tape players make this sound when u try to forward/rewind while play button is still down.

    That's how DJs do it, turning the disc while the music is playing.

  • @ramin85 DJ stands for disk jockey not tape jockey, although a BackSpin tutorial is scheduled for upload soon.  And while the video narration says stop and play when on a real tape player(most average low quality models) pressing FF or RW while the tape is stopped with make those sounds described. However if FF or RW is pressed while still playing it will sound slightly different then detailed in the video. And cheap players will definitely make those sounds even on play and stop.

  • @jgazes You can do a tape stop effect by rendering the audio and doing a pitch slide in Soundforge.
