Old Regimes is the third album in Matthew Friedberger's '2011' Solos series. A Lyon and Healy semi-grand, model #1121, with 45 strings and 7 pedals, harp, produced in 1907, was (the only instrument) used in the making of this album.
"She's Relieved, Actually" is a lovely song - harp arpeggios oh my - and is no where else on YouTube. With all of the other fluff, why doesn't this beautiful song deserve some more exposure?

unique stuff, i like how Matt made an album that he didn't know how to play traditionally, i refer to this music as being "punk-harp".

I would love a digital copy of Death-in-Life. My record player broke after I subscribed, so I've been having to wait for mediafire leaks.

@MartinBryantDotNet That's what I did. It's kind of fun. Like a science project. Converting all the records to MP3. :P If you absolutely can't find any of them I can probably hook you up with digital copies. But you should try to make Matt some money first :D

I swore I'd never buy any more vinyl (it's irrelevant in 2011, right?) but after Thrill Jockey swore to me this week that none of this would ever get released in any other form, I'm going to have to buy a USB turntable and hunt down all the Solos albums.

I love this song. I have this album and I can't get enough of it. Rebeccaism is the only song better than this one on the album :D
