very nice...the history of marionettes-proper puppets in my view is a wonderous co-cursor to the modern theatre/cinema/tv.....all of us that have trained and been on camera or stage are puppets of a sort. thunbs up.....I didnt know that anything good was in Missouri-that place and that cute young lady...SLOAN.

You can call the pai and ask Diane Houk or Nancy Clark (the new director) at 816-833-9777. I work there part time as a puppeteer.

It would be great to know if Sarah Fisher has any of the copies left if you don't mind asking. I'll also try to ask Diane Houk the curator the next time I speak with her. Some of the members at my site may be interested in the book.

I actually live in Kansas City MO and know Diane Houk who is the curator of PAI. You mention the book "Puppet" in this video. Does PAI now carry it or is it available via other sources?
I tried to post a Video Response to the "Puppet Arts Institute: Kick Tush Marionette" but not sure if I did it right. It was just a short clip of my own marionettes when they where on display at PAI.

Sarah Fischer, the artist who illustrated the book, gave the curator a stack of the books to sell in the giftshop if she pleased. I have no idea if they were made available or if they still are.
The book, as far as I know, is mostly out of print but I could ask the illustrator whether they have any copies available on hand if you want.
