Richard M. Walsh 55 Eng is the founder and retired president and CEO of Walsh Healthcare Associates. Under his leadership, the company became one of the top 10 health insurance claims processors in the nation. From 1987 to 1994, Walsh served as Special Assistant to Pennsylvania Governor Robert P. Casey with responsibility for the Commonwealths computer and communication systems. During his tenure, Pennsylvania launched one of the United States first telemedicine projects supported by state funds, called PA Healthnet. Walsh also was one of the founders of PREPNET, an Internet provider for Pennsylvanias colleges and universities. He served on Penn States Board of Trustees from 1993 to 1995.
