The driver, a Pakistani Businessman, died @ St. Joseph's Hospital from a self inflicted gun shot wound. It seems that the LAPD SWAT team wasn't fast enough to keep the suspect from harming himself. The reason for the suicide seems to be problems with his company and family.

i don't understand why LAPD didn't act sooner, with a quick pit and a team that could have tased him this could have been prevented, but it might have gone bad, who knows... i just wanted to say that i don't agree letting some drive on for 3 hours without doing something..!

Nothing justifies taking ur own life. There's always a bright side to every dark spot. Life is the best there is to enjoy. And I bet u I'm in worst situation than this guy was.

Haha. Woulda been hella crazy if it was Dj Khaled though... You guys have seen We Taken Over music video... Where TI Akon and them rescues him. Imagine that was gonna happen during this standoff if it was DJ Khaled. TI and Akon bust outta nowhere and saves him... Hahahaha.
