عاطفه رجبی سهاله (زاده ۱۳۶۶ مشهد - اعدام شده در ۲۵ مرداد ۱۳۸۳ نکا) دختر دانش آموز ۱۶ ساله‌ای بود که توسط دادگاه به داشتن جریجه دار کردن عفت عمومی متهم و توسط قاضی حاج رضایی (رییس دادگستری نکا) به اعدام محکوم شد. حکم اعدام او توسط دیوان عالی کشور در یک هفته تایید شد. قاضی حاج رضایی طناب دار را شخصا به گردن وی انداخت؟؟؟!!! و او را در میدان شهر نکا بدار آویخت.

Atefeh Rajabi Sahaaleh (1988 - August 15, 2004) was a 16-year-old schoolgirl who was executed in Iran after being sentenced to death by an Iranian religious judge, Haji Rezai, for allegedly having committed "acts incompatible with chastity": She was repeatedly raped throughout her childhood and is something of a feminist icon for her courage in arguing in court that the perpetrator of rape should be punished, not the victim. She was publicly executed. Under Sharia's law she had no rights as she was over 9 and female. Atefeh's rapist was also convicted of adultary.He received 98 lashes

According to the United Nations, a child is a person under the age of 18. Despite the fact that the government of Iran has signed International Covenants that forbid them to execute anyone who has allegedly committed an offence before the age of 18, they continue to do so. Amnesty International has documented 26 executions of child offenders in Iran since 2005. In many cases, these minors have been imprisoned until the age of 18 and then executed. Currently, there are at least 134 minors on death row in Iran

@chunkybongo It's not all Iranians. HELL it's not even most iranians. It's the government. The guy who killed her was hand picked by Khoemenei. They warped the views of Islam to the point where it doesn't even represent the religion and it cannot be used to justify these punishments. Islam is not evil. It is religion as a whole that is evil. May religion never be near government. Politics and religion do not mix at all. Never have, never will. All religion does is bring one sided biased views into politics, an area where everyone participating needs to be more open minded. Iran needs to be a secular nation, and with a government that works for the people not against them. America needs to become more secular too. No religion in politics, no problems. No deaths. No wars.

When you're young, you're rebellious. You'd think that a middle age judge would understand that. In the US now Red Squads (political police) in sheriff or police dept. are targeting people for anything they deem subversive. Cops in the US run civilian gangs which in counties with large metropolis can be as large 300,000 which they use to harrass adversaries mostly for personal reasons.
