The wait is over. After a seven-year hiatus, the new Chevrolet Camaro is now back in dealer showrooms.

Combining great looks, performance and advanced technology, the 2010 Camaro honors its heritage while delivering on customer expectations of a sports coupe for the 21st century.

The new Camaro delivers a modern, advanced package of performance, comfort and technology, said Ed Pepper, Chevrolet general manager and General Motors vice president. Its a personal car for a generation of enthusiasts, both young and old, that honors the Camaros heritage with a thoroughly contemporary design.

  • I want one in black with silver stripes.

I'm just curious. Why is it that all driving footage of cars are silent? I mean this camaro should be roaring but its as silent as a toyota prius.

  • Hi -- it's not really silent but it's not really loud. the microphones were on the camera and not placed under the hood where better engine sounds could be recorded. It's hard to record good sound while driving because all you usually get is wind noise. So those sounds are often edited in after the fact.

  • But the question is --- should the company push ahead with a convertible?

  • Is that in Florida

  • The vert was already spotted in here in the us.

  • T-Tops would suck on the new camaro. It would totally ruin the awesome bodywork.

  • whoops, typo

The seals leak when water gets near them and they can be noisy

  • Coming from someone who owns a T-topped 90' Camaro RS, I disagree, reason being that while its fine and dandy to have a bit of airflow, the seals when water gets near them, they can be noisy and you may as well get the 2011 'Vert.

(Also, dont take a markup. Fight for it :p )

  • will do can't wait for it to get here I'm going to drive it down to Detroit to GM Tower for a few shots

  • thanks for the update. keep us posted on your new 1LT RS when it arrives.

  • lol the SS isn't on hold I just sat in one down to my uncle's dealership too slick for me though, I just ordered a 1LT RS nothin too fancy lol but still sexy :D

  • GM should bring back the T-top like they had on the Z28. The convertible was never that popular. But I guess they have a power sunroof so that shall do for now. Can't wait to see it at the dealers here in Los Angeles (prob. with a markup).
