@AulicExclusiva I wrote a glowing comment on this performance posted by another youtuber. I don't really find it disappointing, especially considering Caballe is slightly past her prime here. However, not as good as PONSELLE! Also check out Tebaldi's live performance. Thanks for sending, AE, and thanks to Onegin65 for posting.

Fine singing indeed, but the tempo is too fast and matter-of-fact.

There may be "some guy with a stick in the pit" as you call him, but he's only conducting the orchestra, HOT HER! He is HER accompanist and follows her at the speed of HER CHOICE.
