I went there in the 70's, Pontinental at the time. Learnt to swim in the sea there. Horse riding for 200 pesos for an hour. Great days and happy memories.

Ich war im September 1968 dort in einem Challet untergebracht. Es war sehr einfach
ausgestattet,aber ich war zufrieden. Dort wurde jeden Tag nachmittags und abends
Bingo gespielt und abwechselnd spielten Bands auf.
Ich denke sehr oft an diesen schönen Urlaub und an Maggie und Peter Cooper
von Pontinental zurück.

@MALLORCAMAN33 Are you sure there was nothing there in 1985? I was there in 1977 and there was a big holiday complex there that was built by Fred Pontin in 1962 which was later sold to Warners in the 80's. It has since been replaced by a newer complex owned by a holiday company called Viva.

I went to cala mesuida every year from 1972 to 1988, i've not been since then, but now bring the memories back via the internet. I met fred pontin and shook his hand in 73 and theres a seperate story that goes with that meeting. I only have good memories of that place, good mates, good girls brill nights and poorly day-afters. I do intend to go again, mainly to spread my dads ashes on the beach there, if regulations allow. Anybody remember my little brother paul/pablo in the wheelchair?,

I can remember in 1985 , it was just a lovely cala with no hotels or nothing there except for a little track down to it & little bar on the beach (in which the foundations are still there )
It was there we held the beach party when i was a travel rep, great memories !

I was there in 1977. It was my first time abroad. We went to the Pontinental resort there, but now that has been bulldozed and a newer complex built. Cala Mesquida has got to be the best beach in the Med.
