pacquiao is better than takamura and ippo combined lol, if they put his character in the manga it would be way too unbelievable... 8 belts in 8 divisions, no character could beat him lol? if anyone is similar to pacquiao in Hajimme no Ippo though it would be Randy Boy Jr. not just because of them both being filippino but cause theyre styles r very similar, almost as if the author made him in pacquiao's image.

@Jokerk1d Manny and Ippo both have knockout power in both fists, both have incredible speed, both are aggressive, both are very tough and have great chins, both have amazing heart, both are very friendly and humble guys

Differences = Manny is rich, Manny has a more evolved boxing style (Ippo is still learning), Manny is world famous and considered one of the greatest boxers ever (Ippo is still a talented up and comer).

Despite the small differences, they are actually very similar
