Audio slideshow : Making a Mural at Ocean Tides School

6.11.2012: Students at the Providence campus of Ocean Tides school have been working on a clay tile mural for the foundation of the school's greenhouse since February. The students sketched ideas, designed and made the clay tile pieces and learning about glazing and firing for the twenty mural project. The project was funded in part by a grant from VSA Arts Rhode Island. The installation was Monday for a public unveiling ceremony of the new mural at 2:30pm on Wednesday afternoon. Ocean Tides' Providence Campus is an alternative day school on a 9-3 schedule, 180 days a year, for at-risk boys in grades nine through twelve.
