Basically it means
Clouds do what they do, you can't stop them. You can't stop a lot of things. And if a song means nothing, then what are we doing here? We do what we do and don't care about others, and they don't care about us. What extremes will we go to, to protect the ones we love? Will we continue as we are, just wanting ourselves to be happy. Or would we join our loved ones in the adventures they go through? Sorry for babbling on. This is what I interpreted from this song.
