this is soo helpful. i have to do this with a partner for my freshman seminar at school and i was bumbed by hearing that i had to dance at all. Then i find out its the swing! im like "is there anything easier than this!"

You're still doing just East Coast Swing, didn't really come around until the 1940s, when it was standardized by ballroom associations. Dances of the 1930's would be Lindy Hop and Collegiate Shag.
