But what would Sinn Fein DO? How to pay off the debt, how to reverse the golden handshakes and pensions, where to get the money for social services. Rhetoric is all very well, but where are the concrete ideas, and are they based on reality?

Rise against the bankers, my ancestral countrymen. I apologize for America's second greatest export after warfare, crony capitalism. Of course we learned it from the Brit's, we just perfected it, sharpened the scalpel to surgical precision to cut into every nation across the globe.

If you start from the principles of the women and men of 1916, you can't go far wrong: "The Republic guarantees religious and civil liberty, equal rights and equal opportunities to all its citizens, and declares its resolve to pursue the happiness and prosperity of the whole nation and of all its parts, cherishing all the children of the nation equally"

Depends on what debt you choose to pay off. Banker's debts are not nor should they be taxpayers or citizens debts. In three weeks time over 25 billion will be paid into Anglo Irish bank. Where is that money coming from? Yes, you guessed it. From our wage packets. Sinn Fein is the only party advocating a burning of bondholders and bankers. This is not our debt and we, and our children, should not be lumbered with it.
