When Titanic sinks, Jack helps Rose onto a nearby wall panel. As he hangs onto the panel, he assures her that she will not die there. Rose must do him a honor: don't give up. Then she remember all the things that Jack has do for her, [One night Rose tries to kill herself but Jack stops her. Then they get a passion for each other and finally she's in love with Jack. But Her motcher forbid her to see him again and Cal is angry too. Rose, she walks away from Jack but she's so unhappy, so she changes her mind. Then Titanic crash with an iceberg and tries to convince her to go into a lifeboat. When the boat leaves, Rose jump off the boat because she can't leave Jack alone. The two take refuge on the stern as the ship sinks bow first until they are washed overboard.] and finally she let Jack go and scream that the boat need to come back.

agcookies, she didn't let go . Jack made her promise to never let go of promising him that she would make it and not give up on her life, it's not about how she let go of his hand. Plus she never let go of jack because she basically lived for him, she died in her bed like promised, and saw him again in heaven:)
