@Googleflax I understand you know. I was diagnosed when I was a kid too, at about age 11. I had surgery and things happened but I'm still here and fighting on. I just wanted to say don't fear it too much. I wish you well.
I'm 14 and I've had Crohn's disease since I was 6. I was extremely sick at first and had to stay at the hospital for 3 weeks. Then I got kidney stones, and a seizure after that. :( But luckily I've been in remission for the past 8 years! I never had a flare-up and I fell lucky, though every day I still fear getting a flare-up.
Love it. You have to have a sense of humor to live with chrohns. I have had it for 19 yrs and had ostemy surgery when i was 17 and refuse to not talk about it. After my surgery there was this unspoken kinda of it's a secret vibe and i had a big problem with that. Why should i or anybody be embarassed. The surgery put me in remission for 15 yrs. So i tell jokes and tell poop in a bag stories whenever i can. The stories that come out of this disease are hysterical. Poop is funny.
oh this was so cool, hes right that thru all the hardship of having this disease sometimes u just have to laugh about it.i'm 15 and i was diagnosed 1 1/2 yrs ago and it's been one hec of an experience. oh and hey i get a colonoscopy in a couple days, fun, haha
Awesome. I turned it into a joke - it's a light hearted way to make people understand what it is that you have when they do ask. You gotta laugh at yourself otherwise you'd be really angry.
I love this!
