EDIT: 10K O_O

Tidus/Yuna. Follows the song. I'm very proud of this because I have been working on a video for a while, but made this one in about three hours and it turned out OK.

Tidus and Yuna are young lovers who go out one night a few months after they start dating. Finally old enough to be away from their parents, they tear around the town at high speeds in Yuna's new red convertible, eventually ending up in a secluded spring. Two weeks later, Yuna tearfully tells Tidus she's pregnant. Though they vow to be together forever, things don't work out. Yuna's mother, Lulu, doesn't approve of Tidus, and her father, Wakka, is a tough man who is also the head of the police force. Yuna and Tidus decide not to have the child, and try to continue on with their relationship. Yuna begs for him to stand by her and love her forever. A year later, however, Lulu finally convinces Yuna to break up with Tidus—Yuna hasn't really loved him since the day she gave up the child. Tidus, trying to recover, moves to another college and they don't see each other ever again. However, that doesn't mean Tidus has forgotten her story. As an older man, now married and content with how things have turned out, he sees a young girl in an identical, if worn out, red convertible who looks remarkably like Yuna. After finding out that she is in fact Yuna's daughter, he can't help but flash back to the last night before Yuna breaks it off with him. In the end, he goes back to see Yuna, just to catch up with her, but she doesn't want to remember her past.

Shuyin plays older Tidus.

  • Seems like still most people don't read descriptions oO The creator of this video wrote an own story and it's up to everybody's own, how to interpret lyrics. Of course, it depends also on the personal taste (to be honestly, I think it was a little bit boring, but still you did a great job on editing!) and this video is kinda headstrong ^__^ But the only thing that I had to criticize would be about the contest, but I am not a juror, so I wish you good luck and Keep up the good work!

  • I appreciate the constructive criticism. Everyone has their own opinion, I realize that. I will try to make my future works less boring. May I ask what you mean by headstrong? Thank you for your comment.

  • ... What made you think this was a good idea for a story about the characters of Final Fantasy X? There's "AU" and then there's this unrecognizeable, irrelevent, futile, redundant and superfluous nonsense. It has nothing to do with any of the characters except for the fact that Yuna and Tidus were romantically involved in the game.

I don't understand how people can even call these AMVs when they insist on such ridiculous departures from anything that resembles canon...

  • I'm sorry you feel that way, but perhaps you could see my perspective. I make videos like this for the entertainment of myself an for others, such as my friends, most of which seem to enjoy my efforts. Do I say I am a good video maker? No. Do I say I wish to be? Yes. As the creator I have control of how I want to interpret a song and footage. Moreover, perhaps you did not realize that this video is seven months old and that I may have not had the experience or brainpower to make something good.

  • Who are you to criticize his work??? He was just making a video that went along with the words as he heard them from his perspective! I think this work is really good did a great job editing! its really cool to see stuff like this. It means nothing that it has nothing todo with the game lets see you make something like this jackass. You need to pull your head out of your ass and get a life move out of your moms basement.

  • Great interpretation.

The song is about that first love lost back in your youth more than anything else.

Setting it to game characters had not crossed my mind, but it works pretty well.

    Congratulations!
