See, I knew there was a second verse because I have a collection of old cassette tapes called the wonderful world of Disney. And this is on it. I only wish I could get this from the itunes music store.

this guy hasnt got the tune quite right - its doesnt flow smoothly enough and some of the lines dont rhyme.
dont get me wrong, the song is awesome but I just prefer the version in the film.
Gosh! I didn't know that there was a second verse to this song either! How nice to hear Fred Darian's "minstrel" go on a bit longer; I think he does a lovely turn with this song. I thank you for posting this!

@macraeman Wow I didn't know it was Darian singing. I wonder why Disney never released an ufficial soundtrack of this movie. Ok, it was not succesful in USA, but neither was Alice, Peter Pan or the Aristocats and they all have their OST. That's What Makes the World Go Round, The Most Befuddeling Thing, Wart's Flight score and the dish washing one deserve to be put on CD

I notice giagia282 dubbed out the "...born of England" part.

@binkydonna It wasn't me: The original Disney's vynil version was recorded without those 3 words.
