Hard Questions for Plowshares Activist

Five peace activists go to Bangor submarine base to begin to convert nuclear weapons into something useful for human life. Symbolic action, yet real in that the sub base was shut down for hours. "They shall beat their swords into plowshares" was the vision of the prophet Isaiah, and Bill Bichsel, SJ, Steve Kelly, SJ, Anne Montgomery, RSCJ, Lynne Greenwald and Susan Crane acted on that vision on November 2, 2009. They are expected to be tried in the federal court in Tacoma on December 7, 2010, having been charged with three felonies.
