  • uhm... real drums drop like that too. its called the tension changes from part to part

  • @cnadahockeyteen I'm pretty sure that all the acoustic "real" sets that I've played on have never had a drumstick knock into it and fail to make any noise. Just sayin'.

  • more pls???

  • Actually, I've got more videos on the way - I've been lazy with some serious life changes. I intend to order a Roland TD-3SW this Friday, and I'll be using that from now on. Expect a video of me smashing my Rock Band drums with a hammer.

  • does this work with the beatles set?

  • i mean, the pitch, the pitch can change from top to bottom side to side of the head

  • Guess I'm confused. I thought you were saying that you got IONs as a solution to the crappy drum problem.

I was also sharing my solution.

  • BLARH, my last comment didn't get posted. =/

I actually ended up buying a Roland TD-3 and a J5 box for it. The downside is that it cost over a grand, the plus side is I can play REAL drums now, whenever I want, in addition to flawless Rock Band performance.

I had to practically sell everything of value that I owned to get it, though. =(

  • haha nice way to cheat the systems :P

  • I haven't paid for any of them except the first. All you have to do is go to Wal-Mart and buy a new one, stick the old one in the box, and return it the next day as "broken". And ION kits are junk. ION makes crappy stand-alone kits, and for the money it costs to get their RB set, I can pony up an extra $100 and get a Yamaha DTX Explorer.

I'm also up to my 11th set now, but I stopped making videos for a while because I bought a new house and have been busy with that.
