@WuTangghost0007 they key is to route the installed head to the mixer, not to Tape player internal cirtuit. so then it gets "summed" (combined" back) and this is what creates the feedback loop on tape..which gets that nice saturation and decay

I love the Regent. I have modded a few of them. ..not this mod though.. and lots of good parts inside too. One year I found 3 of them, just playing guitar through one sounds great. peace.

@lordoid I don't get it either, I tried routing the output to the mixer and from the aux back into the reel to reel... Works fine and sounds good. And of course the sound source fed into it via the same aux....

That's awesome, but it would be a bitch to keep on a pedal board lol

1.) Speed up-the tape.
2.) As the input signal's recorded onto the take, it's then played back and recorded again. As it repeats, it loses data. So the quality of the sound deteriorates with each repeat. Hence the low end being gradually lost as there happens to be more information to lose within the low end signal. I think...

@lordoid i will try that . thanks!

@WuTangghost0007 I don't understand why he added this head. Isn't it enough to just use a tape loop like described in this video: watch?feature=player_embedded&
v=Us7_vzOb0Ag#! Or if you have several maschines just use one to record and the other to play (feed the tape from one to the other)
absolutely incredible
