"Teri Pinney, an assistant principal with a "heart for kids" and aspirations of running her own school one day, resigned abruptly last week from Fort Pierce Westwood High School following weeks of controversy about the principal's decision not to rehire two longtime coaches."

  • WOW. This is horrible that she had to quit because of dr. brown.

He cares way too much about our test scores.

Going to that school just makes me feel like I'm doing his dirty work, like I'm just a #, he just controls the teachers.

The second week of school, a teacher told me that dr. brown told the whole staff not be our friends/or be friendly with the students.

Just the whole first week of school felt like I was in jail. Most of the extra curric. after school are for punishment. I hate it

  • Wow, thank you as a fellow employee of the SLCSD for posting this. I am truly sorry your VP had to go through all of this. She sounds like a woman I would want to work for, and that anyone would want to work for because she stands up for her people. I believe every word of what was said.

  • I just finished Teri's book, The Missing Heart, and was absolutely blown away at this amazing story. Truly remarkable!

  • I don't know, I hope things will get better.

  • Thank you for standing up for our young! What an example you have set.
