Pete's Life - Video Tribute to a Wonderful Ferret

Video highlights from all of the footage shot during Pete's life. PLEASE READ:

From the first moment we met him, we knew he was special. His presence in our home was a constant joy and comfort; through five houses, three cities, human and ferret friends that came and went- for seven and a half years he made us happy. Pete was truly the sweetest ferret we'll ever know; we hope you enjoy this celebration of his personality and life.

Footage Descriptions:
0:00 - Joyful Pete running around in a vacation house
0:17 - Chasing a tube in our kitchen
0:28 - Chasing the human for treats!
0:35 - Young Pete's first day home
0:47 - Pete's first snow (ferret-proofed porch!)
1:04 - Pete's first buddy, old Baby
1:10 - Pete meets baby Surprise, and steals his food
1:25 - Pete finds the baby TERRIFYING!
1:39 - Eventually he came around :)
2:05 - Beach at Cape Cod
2:23 - Seattle ferret buddies!
2:34 - Pete only stole tennis balls
2:40 - Cuddly lap ferret
3:02 - Pete loved going outside (ferret-proof yard!)
3:11 - Then he loved going back in!
3:16 - Walking in the park
3:24 - Pete got Adrenal, so we made him a sweater (and put him on monthly Lupron)
3:29 - Ferret Christmas!
3:32 - We held him every night while brushing our teeth
3:42 - Then gave him a treat before bedtime

Sweet tribute to a precious soul..... ( tears) I loved seeing the joy in his body as he ran and played, tail flying !! Funny food stealing, bull dozing the snow..... even soo happy in his sweater. Ferrets know how to be happy and love their lives and their people. I can see that his love and trust were well placed. Thank you for sharing this tribute.

This video warmed my heart, such a touching tribute that wasn't tainted by sadness, it was filled the the joy, love and energy that he filled your life with and how you'll always remember him.

@VelvetXkitten - Thank you! That's what I was trying for- I wanted to make something happy, because that's how Pete was! I'm actually surprised that so many people tear up- I thought that was just me- lol!

Although this was a sad video, it's probably the best ferret video I've seen on here (and that is ALOT lol) it was so cute and loving =) I'm sorry for your fuzzy loss! I hope mine lives that long (she is around 2 years old ^^)

I love this video!! I recently loss one of my babies way to soon he was only 9 months they other have not been handling it well it has been a struggle but we are finally getting everyone back on track and eating well!! This helped remind me of all the great times we had with little Journee and although short i think we did almost everthing a ferret could want to do!! Thank you for sharing Pete's happy amazing life <3

i cried T_T you love your animals so much! he sure looked happy. I'm convincing my parents to let me have one if i have good grades, i had a baby weasel for a few days but since theyre wild i gave it to a wildlife association, but it was still the best animal experience ever :3 so i wanted a ferret since theyre from the same family.

sorry for your loss, but he seemed to have had a great life without regrets <3
