What the hell is wrong with this guy? Can you hear the hate in his voice? He's got something wrong with him in the head, maybe he got beaten up by vegans or something. Or he just has a major guilt complex concerning meat. Why do you hate people for not eating it? What does it have to do with you? I can't imagine anyone EVER liking a toffee nosed twat like that.

I wish he would come to asia and eat some great vege food. Dont have an issue with meat eaters, just do my best to reduce from 3 times a day to maybe 3 times a month. I think it works.

I like Jonathan Meades, but this is juvenile and intellectually dishonest. It also relies on ad hominem attacks like the borderline racist impression of GBS. I am sure he would have the grace to be embarrassed by it now.

This video looks quite outdated now doesnt it? I think it's really quite rare to find people opposed to vegetarians these days. If anything given how healthy we are now (supposedly) we've all become 'infected' by vegetarianism in one way or another, if only for the first few weeks in January.

He's criticizing a specific sort of vegetarian, really, tarring them all with the same brush. Which is a bit unfair; they're not all self-righteous about it, and some even LIKE food and are clever enough to make delicious meals without meat in. They're not all dicks. But there are plenty of dicks, and they deserve everything Meades throw at them.

I have only one anwer for this guy: you are fat. Go have some work out, eat less and learn to respect your body and nature. There is very little that an imbalanced person can teach to others.

I am a happy vegetarian. My dog is vegan. My girlfriend is vegetarian. I have about 10 people of 20 in my housing that are vegetarians. :D I love it. It's very tasteful., which I were not able to imagine before. Just because some people are not skilfull cooks, is not quite a profound argument to insult people, without which we would've not enough to eat on this planet. cheers. 8000 pos. votes shows nothing more than your blindness.

@Harrifer1987 I'm a vegetarian and I love Jonathan Meades. Even when I disagree with him. He makes intelligent, reasoned and very funny television programmes in a way that almost nobody else does these days and he's at his best when he's at his most provocative.
