What's the sampler for? Sry if that's a dumb question^^ But I have noe experience making electronic music what so ever. I have seen several youtube videos on the EMX-1 and understand how it works to make drums and synths parts and playing full songs with it. Why need a sampler?

@bogdyrosca Thanks man. The easiest thing for you to do would be to go to a site that rips youtube video and plug in this URL, and it will rip it as an MP3 for you. (I don't think youtube lets me put the url here, but search for youtube audio ripper) I didn't keep the audio for this, just the video.

I've been trying to find out if you can load a sample of say a trumpet and have something like the multipitch function on the SP1200, so you can automatically have a simple scale with which you can play a melody. Or you have to resample to the respective tones in a scale to create one - that would be a great pain though. I downloaded and read the manual but still can't figure it out.
Thanks!

@martin984 The only way to do it would be to load multiple samples of each different pitch and assign them to each pad. The only other way to get multiple pitches out of the same pad is to automate the pitch through the sequence (ie. the pitch changes as the sequence plays).
