  • @ElGreatHambino There are allegations of it happening in Monterrey, Mexico, in a soccer match back in the 50s. It was very probably invented then. Yes, it was maybe seen in American football and hockey games before Mexico '86, but not before the 80s, let alone the 50s. (I have done some research and haven't come across a single claim about it). The thing here is, worldwide it is called -if not just wave- Mexican wave. And that's probably not going to change anytime soon

  • @SPIDERMANRULEZ101 Nah, man. The Wave started in Seattle at the University of Washington. Although there is this Oakland A's Superfan that claims to have started it in Oakland.
