@thevideogamebasher Really?? My wedding's on DVD?

@morrismagic08 VHS Tapes don't need to be finalized. If you finilized, then I can't think of what could be the problem. Maybe your DVD Recorder is messed up.

@computerkid1416 Thanks for that but the same thing happens when transfering DVD to VCR, it playes ok in that player but putting the VHS in any other VCR it plays as if macro is sensing a copy, rolling lines, sound destortion, all sorts. I figured out how to finalize DVD's on my player but i'me sure VHS tapes dont need to and cant be finalized, Or can they?

@morrismagic08 You need to finalize the disc. There should be an option in your DVD Recorder's menu that you will need to find. Finalizing means that you can't put anything else on that disc and it makes it compatible with other DVD Players/computers.

Jakestooge -- yes but you need a device between the VCR and DVD recorder to do it. The only thing that works 100% is a Time Base Corrector, which run anywhere from $100 - $400. (DataVideo TBC-1000, AVT 8710) There are some other devices that can strip Macrovision as well, but not 100% but pretty close and they are cheaper. Look up Sima or Grex products for ones that work.

If the tape has a tan-colored tapeguard, can you still transfer it to DVD?
Why are you shouting?

Not everyone has access to a camcorder. Instead, one can simply connect the VCR directly to the DVD recorder.
