@lxXxDaBossxXxl yes he did train as hard as goku, but the moral akira toriyama (author of dragon ball) was trying to get across was that anyone can show physical strength but when it comes to an important moments that have almost insurrmountable odds that good character and values are what see a person through the toughest of all challenges. so basically the power of plot made vegeta weak in DBZ

I think that if Vegeta had as many training oportunities as goku he would be as strong as him. Goku got to train with king kai after the fight with raditz. Then he got to train under 100X gravity. Then he got a power boast after he recovered from the ginyu fight. Then Frieza killed Krillin and Goku became a super saiyan. Then he trained extra hard in the hyperbolic time chamber. Then He trained in other world for like 7 years, while vegeta didnt train as much.
