  • A mon goût, la meilleure interprétation de celles que j'ai entendues ici sur YouTube,

faut dire qu'elles ne sont pas nombreuses lol.

Voir tout de même ce jeune garçon, Olivier Altdorf je crois, étonnant, non ?

  • (Please forgive me to write in English.)

Yes! I've seen him (Olivier Altdorf) on YouTube. I'm very looking forward to see him in "proper orchestration" !!

  • Ohh man, I really love this part, and the interpretation is so beautiful...

  • As i repeat this piece again and again,

I get more and more deep into it.

Well, you've got one thump up from me. So you felt compelled to look up this song too? I didn't expect to find any pony related comments here.

  • Thumbs up if The Ask Octavia Tumblr lead you here!

  • Awesome!

  • can't everyone just agree that although it's better on cello, it's EASIER on viola! and perhaps more naturally suited to the viola's range

  • i love this rendition (of course! it's yo yo ma!) but i have to say i think this piece is more suited for the viola, range wise and tone wise. it's still beautiful though!

  • @loorloop Dude, search arpeggione to see pictures and information.

"The arpeggione is a six-stringed musical instrument, fretted and tuned like a guitar, but bowed like a cello, and thus similar to the bass viola da gamba.photo The body shape of the instrument, is however more similar to a medieval fiddle than either the guitar or the bass viol."

How's the arpeggione like the viola? They're from different families, and its more related to the cello and the bass. Learn your facts.
