i think i speak for all airplane enthusiasts when i say take off is one of the best parts of flight, love the feeling of being pushed back in my seat as the plane is speeding down the runway :)

Love your videos.
Have you managed to capture the shock wavextending perpendicular from the center of a wing?
Withe light just right it appears like a single stationary heat wave "crease" which distorts images behind it.
I havexcellent video of one on our 8 mm camcorder.

@houshidar558 I agree. I took a flight out of atl to ord 6 months ago on an md88 and the pilot revved the engines to full power, then released the brakes. We shot out like a rocket!

"I took it upon myself to bring you some okay wing shots." Jon, there is no better angle to catch the takeoff at than where you're at. (Well maybe next to the engine on the MD-88.) But other then that it was a great video.. Like usual! (;
