REWINDA MOVIE TOONS (Chennai) established in the year 2003 with a focus to bring new lead into animated movie making. Our objective is to narrate fables in 2D animated version equivalent to International standards.

Ponniyin Selvan novel was written by Mr. Kalki, who has also penned other historical and social novels. This novel had been published several times in the fortnightly magazine KALKI in the past 50 years. The highlight to this publishing event is the drawings and sketches by artists, which gave life to every character in the story.

'Ponniyin Selvan' is a historical novel based on the Chola dynasty in the 2nd century A.D. It is a historical thriller, where the ministers conspire to kill the ailing Chola King, Sundaracholar and bring in a person to suit their needs. Sundaracholars eldest son Aaditya Karikalan was busy with the development and administration of the northern part and lived in Kanchi and his younger brother Arulmozhi Varmar had gone south crossing the seas to wage a war in Lanka, (who would be famous later as Rajaraja Chola I) which aided the conspirers and their sister Kundavai Piratti lived in Chola royal household at Pazhayari, as played a wise full advisor to her father in saving the Chola dynasty.

The story is set in motion, when rumor starts that there is a conspiracy against Sundara Chozhar and his sons. One person who gets a glimpse of the Pandya conspirators is a warrior by name Vallavarayan Vandiyathevan. Even though the book is titled Ponniyin Selvan, the hero of the novel is Vandiyathevan, a friend of Adhitha Karikalan and trusted leftinent of Ponniyin Selvan and his journey throughout in this great literature is the highlight of the happenings. The story is packed with treachery, suspense and adventure.

Some of them not high budgeted but still it reach peoples, and I am sure "Everything no need to be in red carpet". Our Film Industry will never take this story because no one have guts to invest money in this! In India Film Industry is Pakka Business. No one here to show their passion/Social responsibilities

dont kill the efforts of kalki that he had to put bring the sceneries of story on reading the novel..... better be done by pros.. the king of novels need a chariot driven by maniratnam or shankar driven in the wheels of ar rahman and p c sriram.....

great concept.. but... put it straight, a king cannot come out in streets walking, he needs a chariot, similarly the movie could be even made in 5 crores but why people like mani ratnam do not want to do so and asks for hundreds of crores , cos they wanna give it in the best form never could be reproduced... so an epic like like ponniyin selvan need a chariot to come out... kindly don try to launch in the market like a pancha tantra story...

how can you say it is an utter waste, it is an wonderful attempt and out of so many attempts made by great legends of the film fertanity who have attempted and failed to visualise this story, whereas this is the first visual of this great story of kalki's.....

Trailers do not give you the entire story structure even in a social feature film and story line of this nature it is impossible(it is only an intorduction to the viewers that this great novel is being visualised....
