C. Vision Productions continues its coverage on Minnesotas main lines. Burlington Northern Santa Fes Staples Subdivision runs from Minneapolis to Dilworth. This line is a part of BNSFs northern Transcontinental main from Chicago to the Pacific Northwest. C. Vision covered the east end of the Staples Sub in our program Fast Freight on the BNSFs Transcon and in this program, we tour the west end of the Staples Sub from the terminal in Dilworth to Staples.

BNSFs variety of locomotive power and color schemes are well represented in this show. Older SD-40 dash 2s are seen in the old Santa Fe and Burlington Northern colors. The new ES-44s and SD-70ACes show off their new Heritage 3 style.

There are plenty of scenic locations covered including the sweeping curves in and around Hawley, the long s-curve at Lake Park and the Canadian Pacific diamond at Detroit Lakes. Trains also pass 3 ex-Northern Pacific depots that still stand along the line today. Add in several charming small town settings and 98 different trains passing our camera, and you have an exciting BNSF program to watch over and over again!

Enjoy the intense action captured in BNSFs Staples West!

Running time 2 hours

Color/HiFi Stereo Sound, narration on/off feature Professional Quality!

  • realy fun it was, the sub looks great.

  • A minor correction - Thief River Falls is the next crew change point to the north on CP. The Noyes Subdivision runs between there and the border.

  • cool! I visted that sub on my family vacation just last july! We even got an opertunity to talk to the Wadena local's engineer! He had to get out of the cab to talk to us because the GP39E was loud while ideling! Even saw the staples yard! And the street running at Brenaird!!! I'm putting this on my christmas list!
