This is videoof space shuttle Atlantis being towed from Kennedy Space Center's runway after it landed at the end of mission STS-129. Atlantis was towed from the runway to the Orbiter Processing Facility. This video was taken while the orbiter was being moved along the tow road between the runway and hangar.

What should have happened is the development of a second generation RLV to replace the space shuttle. After pissing away billions on dead end programs like NASP, X-33, and others, now we can't even seem to put together an Apollo-style capsule launched on an expendable booster without a 5+ year gap in US human spaceflight. Very sad...
