This is videoof space shuttle Atlantis being towed from Kennedy Space Center's runway after it landed at the end of mission STS-129. Atlantis was towed from the runway to the Orbiter Processing Facility. This video was taken while the orbiter was being moved along the tow road between the runway and hangar.

  • What should have happened is the development of a second generation RLV to replace the space shuttle. After pissing away billions on dead end programs like NASP, X-33, and others, now we can't even seem to put together an Apollo-style capsule launched on an expendable booster without a 5+ year gap in US human spaceflight. Very sad...

  • Anything thats good should not end.We will all be less well off when the Shuttles fly no more
