Mazes and Monsters - Tom Hanks Gets Mugged

A clip from an early TV Movie starring a young Tom Hanks, in which his fascination with Role-Playing Games leads him down the toboggan ride to insanity.

One thing you'll notice here is that, while the material is the worst sort of sensationalist panic-mongering, Hanks is actually pretty damned good even in this early performance. He's a great guy and this is not meant to make fun of him.

However, seeing a respected actor perform truly laughable material is always good for a chuckle. One viewing and you'll quickly see that his Oscars for "Philadelphia" and "Forrest Gump" were just to make up for how this performance was shamefully overlooked.

is there any way you can post a clip with like 30 seconds more added to the end? The part I always remember from this movie is him crying "there's blood on my knife!"to someone on the phone. You saw he was looking at the telephone right when this clip ended, so I dont think it happens much later on.

Oh dear God! D&D caused a college student to stab a mugger in self-defense! When will the senseless violence stop!? Will TSR and Wizards of the Coast never stop to think of the well-being of these poor, innocent and impressionable twenty-something year olds!?

He definitely rolled a 16 in dexterity to avert them. But couldn't roll anything above a 7 to climb over the fence(A 7 would be him making it over the fence but have been shit on by Lord of the Eagles causing him to slip and fall as he was climbing over, breaking a leg) After that he would have rolled atleast a 14 on that attack.
