@CT2790 Lol, I am going to go and watch the Social Network now to see what you mean. I am aware of who it is about but that is all I know about it.;).
-
Hmmmm interesting. If nothing else you could have the sequel to "The Social Network" on your hands :D

@CT2790 Principle Management is U2's management company in Ireland. I had told them what had happened and they are the most brainwashed bunch of employees I have ever met in my life. maybe they think there is some sort of social cachet to be had in working for U2, I dont know, but they would hear nothing against the band despite all the information I provided. I have never been a slave to any employer so maybe it is just me but I thought they were like cult members, over-devoted.

@CT2790 If there was no rip-off, why did Adam CLayton pay off Linda Murphy? The fact that she took the money was as bad as the fact that they gave it to her. So much treachery in one night. She was unbelievable. It was not until 1993 that she admitted she took the money. Up to then she swore she was only getting his autograph. I did not believe her obviously. I then got her to phone Principle Management in Dublin to admit what she had done. They refused to believe her.

@CT2790 Well, I just gave you the year,1989, the month was september of 89. The location was a bar in Southern Ireland. It was a rip-off. Things like that dont tend to come with documented proof. I have been to solicitors and talked to journalists and they have said'' Verbal testimoney or written proof is needed before anything can be done'. There was another girl with me in the bar that night and Adam Clayton gave her 2,000 pounds not to testify against the band.

Documents, statements, authenticated dates and times, ya know, proof
-
@CT2790 I am so glad to have made you lol.;). What sort of proof do you require? It all went down in 1989 in a bar called the Pitz in Southern Ireland.
-
@dublinbarterclub Can one prove this? lol

U2 did not write Achtung Baby. The real writer was ripped off and decided to leave the music industry and is now studying art in Dublin. She intends to write a book about the rip-off after the lead singer dies.

Yikes... Grecian 2000... serious damage
whats the story of the vox amp?
PortGuitarPlayer 4 years ago
Apparently early on in their career Bono was unhappy with the way a gig was going, so he hit the amp with either his foot or his guitar - not sure which.
