This is a series of lectures given by a member of TechnocracyInc. This series explains basics of the Technate design for North America.
This series was recorded in 1980. The information presented, accurately portrays the Technate design for North America.
That information is also available in the original paper copy of the Technocracy Study Course... the precedent document regarding the Technate scientific social design.
The Technate design precludes special interest groups.
It is based on science and is not an oligarchic belief system concept.
It uses a system called energy accounting. It is not a political system.
It is not connected to any other groups or ideas other than the Technical Alliance... the original group that presented these ideas.
The Technate design is the viable alternative to the current Price System method.
Investigate and join with us to make the information concerning this subject available to interested parties.
As our resource base becomes destroyed we begin to bumper up on a time when real alternative ideas must be used if survival is desired.
The Technate design provides abundance within the context of sustainability.
It does not use the scarcity based system that has been employed in the past (the Price System).
The use of mechanical energy has altered the reference points concerning how a society can be governed. Functional governance is now possible. The Technate design is secular and humanitarian... creative and imaginitive.

  • I agree to put engineers and scientists in charge, but I have on problem here. If the purchasing power is distributed equally, than what would be a motivation to get a specific job other than just satisfaction form it.

  • @TheMalar There is a lot more to this than that one tiny issue. Energy accounting is non monetary. We know that humans are anthropologically suited to being involved with others and desiring to contribute to society. Young people in a 'good' society... free from the carrot and stick of debt tokens ... will have a lot more fun. American dream bullshit aside.

  • @TBonePickensetc You know it sounds good, but harder done than said. It's not so easy to change the peoples view on work. Energy should be the currency of the future, but still people need some motivation to do their work, and the idea of giving equall payment would require the end of the private enterprise, and that never worked. Maybe we should consider fiat money but based not on gold but energy units. The national currency would not be printed but produced in power plants.

  • @TheMalar Ok.. your not listening. This is NOT an energy theory of value. It is NOT a currency. It is NOT a payment. It iIS and accounting system to keep track of resources to population to energy. Please do not post here again unless you do some research. Suggestion,.... read ''I am the Price System' by TechInc. or other information from the group in question. If energy is monetized then the whole purpose of science based social design is defeated. Communism is also a price system.

  • Technocracy is the answer!

  • @deathtotheism .. there may be something out there more interesting... but if there is I am unaware of it.

Part of the beauty of this thing is the historic context of the group.

Most things were figured out in the teen to 30's period of the last century. All the basic science things were of thermodynamics that is.

Those things are natures simple instruction manuals. Energy accounting uses nature. Technocrats were really the first ecologists knowing the consequences of wasting resources.

  • I hope people wake the fuck up and do away from the price system.

  • There is no worth involved. No human is worth more than any other human.

You have missed the basic point of what it is as a system.

It is an economic system based on energy economics .. not money, and it is a scientific social design.

  • @HidingZebraTube Well we can still test at what job a person can do better or worse and asign them to the job needed for the society. Tyrany you can say, but it would solve that problem.

  • @HidingZebraTube Well that is fine. Guess you are a price system guy and see no alternative to the current system. Money is not really an incentive except in a negative way... sure you can 'buy' a wage slave and lord it over someone but now that the resource base is collapsing that will not do you a lot of good either.

Robots will do your job. A million robots are taking over the plant that makes ipads etc.

Your ideas are kind of throwback to the horse and buggy.. but so be it.

  • @TBonePickensetc Urm no. what i ment was, if everyone has the same amound of 'money' or whatever, then there would be no point in anyone trying to get a better job (better paid jobs are usually more challenging), therefore no one would push themselves to learn anything.

If anything anyone who agrees to this is some lowlife claiming benefits, angry at people who have lots of money because they have nice jobs, (Im very high up in my company, your probly one of the people i walk all over at work)

  • @HidingZebraTube Not sure what your comment means. I can say it does not make any sense though. You probably have a crappy pointless job currently though that is only interested in making some more debt tokens. You do not get that?
