Thanks for the compliments for the bass playing...you get a lot of that sound by using flatwound strings jacked up a bit on a 1990 Rickenbacker 4003 with the foam mute enabled. I come from the school of McCartney/Jamerson, at least for this vibe. I went direct through a preamp/DI into the board. It was done at LoFish studios in NYC in January of 2009.
