Great to see a 70-80 hp Triumph Thruxton twin passing a whole heap of high powered inline 4's. It shows that horsepower means very little if you don't have the skill to use it "all the way" around a track. A good rider on a modest bike will always pass an average rider on a high powered machine. This footage shows just that. Braking later, carry more corner speed, on the gas early and away you GO GO GO!

Nice Riding! I'm doing a trackday on Oct 10th and was worried that my Thrux would just be in the way, not any more.
BTW I'm running BT45s, I guess I'll have to try a set of those Dunlops next time.

@Thruxton8 I love a good Thruxton but i'd hardly call the other riders average. They aren't even shifting their bums off the seat! Methinks this is probably a group of riders with little to no track experience. Which raises the question of why this chap is passing them on both sides. Usually inexperienced groups of riders on tracks are instructed to pass on straights only.

Can you imagine the other riders going around then the thruxton goes past them!! Ha ha brilliant, mate of mine has got one and we went too the isle of man tt in 09. I had a go on the mountain section, they handle really well and now have got my eye on one for 2011 tt. 2010 model looks nice with the red frame and black engine. Nice

What ability group was this in? Judging by the other riders in the clip, I'd say that is is not the FAST group.
Great work carving up those sports bikes in the cornes though!
