  • how did molly die?

  • @maddamrose2 A woman identifying herself as "Trish Hickey-McNaughton", the daughter of Molly McGowan Hickey's husband (by a later wife), stated that Molly "died at the age of 19 of bone cancer. She and my father didn't have any children, she was pregnant, but on chemo, so the baby wasn't to be."

  • It is my understanding that WGN has the only print of this film. At least, that's the story on IMDB.

  • A late night TV broadcast from the 1980s, captured on full color home tape, is making the rounds, so keep checking the 'net for availability.

  • It is like a dream to finally be able to have this movie in its original color! So many fans of this movie are grabbing this movie up from the ioffer seller and he appears to be the only one on the planet who has this movie in color!! It sure feels like a dream to finally be able to own this movie in color as it sure seems that the studio will never release this on DVD. So, lets all enjoy this wonderful movie in its original color from the seller!

  • Well this is so great to FINALLY be able to see SNOWFIRE in its true color!! I have a poor quality black and white version that is too bright white and, to finally be able to have this movie in color is so wonderful! The seller on ioffer is sure getting lots of orders from all us fans of this movie!! This seller is the only person on the planet who has this movie in color!

  • Lol the one I named my character after :) Woot!

  • Where can you get Snowfire? Has anyone put it on DVD?

  • What a beautiful movie, it brought back tears to my eyes. I loved it so much as a kid.

If i remember correctly, the opening scene with Wildfire surrounded on the cliff, he looks at each and every one of his captures and then makes a decision. The magnificent white horse jumps off the cliff into the waters below in a defiant FREEDOM AT ANY COST. Tis little wonder why the movie has been underground for so many years. The fucking social engineers hate it!!

  • Wow, I saw this movie at a local theater when it came out, and I was 8 years old, and I've been asking people for years if they remembered a movie called "Snowfire". No one had. Couldn't even find it in the movie guides. Was thinking it must have some other name I couldn't remember......but here it is! I was right all along. Thanks for posting this great memory.

  • What a great movie...I just watched it this morning on TCM, the greatest television network in the world....Little Molly was wonderful...there is a scene where a Psychiatrist tries to convince her that she cannot talk to horses and little Molly bets him his brand new sports car that she can.....he quickly remembers another appointment and drives off in a hurry.....wish they made em like this today....

  • THIS MOVIE HAS BEEN A PART OF MY LIFE SINCE I FIRST SAW IT ... ONLY IN THE THEATER... HOW MANY YEARS AGO??????? I AM SO HAPPY TO SEE IT MIGHT BE AVAILABLE.... AND COMING TO TV 7/11! WONDERFUL!!!!!!!! WILL SHARE IT!

  • @PooFlingingButtmunch

    she died of cancer

  • Would you believe that producer Stuart McGowan originally planned this as a TV show? He first proposed the idea for the 1956-'57 season, but no one was interested in a weekly series. He then decided to make a theatrical movie out of it in late 1957, and released in the spring of '58. I can imagine what kind of situations Molly and Snowfire would have found themselves in {"What's that, Snowfire? You say that Daddy's been KIDNAPPED by some bad men??"}.
